About The PRCA
The Pigeon River Country Association (PRCA), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, was born in 1972 out of a controversy between conservation and oil and gas exploration. Today the PRCA monitors compliance of forest activity with the Concept of Management and also provides educational opportunities through Discovery Center exhibits and classes. The PRCA provides funding for a summer intern who works under the supervision of the forest’s Unit Manager and disseminates forest activity through a quarterly newsletter to the membership of the Association.
We invite you to join us, both by your financial support and if you wish, by volunteering your time and efforts in some of the activities listed above. Any person interested in helping protect the Pigeon River Country and its resources and wildlife is invited to Become A Member.
