Join experts Joy Mittig and Doug Reeves for a morning of forestry and birdwatching! The event starts with a presentation on forestry practices in the PRC and how they impact birds followed by a birdwatching tour around the forest. The tour will highlight how birds use different types of ecosystems and the connections to forest management. Dress for the weather, with shoes or boots suitable for some walking off trail. Bring your own binoculars, bug spray, water, and snacks. All attendees will receive a copy of Forestry for Michigan Birds. Event will be rescheduled in the case of inclement weather.
